Bearings are indispensable components in mechanical equipment, which can support and rotate the load of the shaft, enabling the machine to operate normally. However, with the passage of time and increasing frequency of use, bearings may also experience wear and failure, requiring disassembly and replacement. So, what are the five methods currently used for dismantling bearings? What should I consider when choosing?

First : Manual disassembly

Manual disassembly is the most basic method of disassembly, which requires the use of simple tools such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc. This method is suitable for situations where bearings are small and disassembly difficulty is low. When disassembling, it is necessary to pay attention to protecting the surfaces of the bearings and shafts to avoid damage.

Second : Hot disassembly

Hot disassembly is a method of disassembly that utilizes the principle of thermal expansion and contraction. It requires the use of a heater to heat the bearings and shafts to expand them, and then use coolant to quickly cool the bearings difficult to disassemble.

Third : Hydraulic disassembly

Hydraulic disassembly is a method of disassembly that utilizes hydraulic principles. It requires the use of a specialized hydraulic extractor to inject hydraulic oil into the inside of the bearing to generate pressure and remove the bearing from the shaft. This method is suitable for situations where bearings are large and difficult to disassemble.

Fourth : Impact disassembly

Impact disassembly is a method of using impact force for disassembly. It requires the use of a specialized impactor to transmit the impact force to the bearing, in order to remove the bearing from the shaft. This method is suitable for situations where bearings are small and disassembly difficulty is low.

Fifth : Vibration disassembly

Vibration disassembly is a method of disassembly that utilizes the principle of vibration. It requires the use of specialized vibrators to transmit the vibration force to the bearings, in order to remove the bearings from the shaft. This method is suitable for situations where bearings are small and disassembly difficulty is low.
